I was approached recently by edarabia.com to write a short response to a few questions for an article they’re running. One of the questions was about what I remembered most from my first day as a teacher. I wrote less than I’m going to share with you now but the thinking of that day made me want to share more than the response allowed.
When I entered the secondary school, which was the same as the high schools in the US, it was my first time to make friends. For my first two years of life in the secondary school, when I was twelve years old, I met some friends. They changed my life. Unfortunately, they all had bad habits like heavy smoking.
Tyler sat in the back row. I never used a seating chart with students on the first day; this was always my opportunity to get to know my pupils before assigning them to specific seats after a few weeks. Every time I talked at the front of the class, I would ask questions of students, calling them by name.
Every single one of us has to deal with teachers at one point or another in our life.We usually encounter this type of people for the first time when we go to school. Being unprepared and clueless children of 5-7 years of age, we are being carried over from parents to our next biggest authority, the teacher.From that time on we have to get used to meeting new people and getting along with them.
Many of the stories we read were interesting, but their was one that caught my attention was a old family folktale that my mother use to tell me before I would go to bed. The story of “Snow White,” all though the story is just a folktale it got me ready for a lot of lessons that life had to teach. The story talks of a qu.
Before she passed, I had an opportunity to thank her for the important role she played in my life, stoking my passion for learning at a time when I easily could have gotten turned off by school. When I first met Mrs. Caffiere, she was the elegant and engaging school librarian at Seattle’s View Ridge Elementary, and I was a timid fourth grader.
My First Year College Experience. At the end of every school year, my mom would pass this journal around to my teachers. Each teacher wrote a short letter that included words of affirmation, accomplishments in class, and good wishes for my future. My mom would then take a picture of me with each teacher and place that picture beside their letters.
Sweet Memories of My Childhood. Though terribly shy, I had a blissful childhood. Furthermore, I may be an only child but I was surrounded with people my age because I spent the first five years of my life at my mother’s hometown in a rural fishing community where my cousins were as teeming as fish in the sea.
To conclude, I would like to add that my aim of life fully suits to my tendencies and ideas about life. I know in my heart that this is the path best fitted for me by nature and I would leave no stone unturned to attain it. The purpose of life should be a life of purpose. Students have different criteria when choosing their favorites; some of them prefer those who don’t give hard homework assignments, or don’t ask difficult questions.Some students like it when teachers don’t bother them at all and just read their lectures.
